Computational fluid dynamics (CFD), is a simulation tool used for analyzing complex thermal and fluid phenomena. It is instrumental in maintaining the safety of many products we use on a day to day basis, such as an automobile or even the house we live in. Visualizing the complicated movements of a gas or liquid flow can be quite convoluted. By implementing Simulation Software such as, SC/Tetra...

Olá ? tem o modelo para compartilhar?
I have Simufact weldiing and I am currently struggling with the DED process. Please help ?
Cool
Hello! Do you have the model to share? :D
Interesting
Finally this simulation was performed with LS-DYNA, so SOL700 is purely LS-DYNA
Could you help me please with the boundary conditions?? Do you have an example? I have to calculate my model with suppressor and with muzzle brake in ANSYS, but i'm working in solidworks, and can't do this. please!

Any chance you can share the model?
Hi, thanks for this video. What is the speed of water flow in terms of m/s in this analysis?
I want to dowloand that program, how to do it?
Tutorial ? Or project file , if you able to provide ?
dude your cups full, youre making a mess
So basically what happens here, water gets displaced from the explosion, rebounds, and implodes a little bit
These animations do not mean anything without stating the problem (at least, the boundary conditions). As a result, most of CAE engineers and companies go for other products - MSC Software's competitors. MSC Software products are fine, and in many cases more robust than others, but the way these are advertised is not appropriate. There is a lack of competent users out there (and therefore buyers) as the products are not well presented in a way that potential buyers get attracted. This should also account the fact that MSC Software products are not the most user-friendly FE packages in the market (rather time-consuming when it comes to building a model) - thus, why someone should bother buying from you? Either make simple and complete tutorials or do not spend time posting short animations. Personally, I would be happy to see some basic tutorials using Dytran. This is my feedback as a CAE engineer. Best regards
Can I get the files please
Hi Can this simulation be done with ansys
i am currently doing simulation for clinched joints and i dont know the speed for the punch please help me how to obtain the speed, no single journals and articles mentions the speed of the punch
please explain in detail.
can you please make a video tutorial for generating Forming limit curves?
How blast analysis of buildng can be done in nastran software??? Pls suggest....
How can I get the file ?
which software did you use to visualize ?
what software is that
Hello MSC Software UK. I'm student postgraduate and i need your help. I want to know, how to use the "general point motion" with matlab/simulink to controller one ROV with 6 degree of freedom? thank you.
Hello, I want to know. Which equipment is best for calculations? Is there a specificity in its configuration?
Nice works! Are there any aerodynamic analysis included in the analysis?
Is the reason for these nastran type vids so short because running the simulation requires a lot of processing or what.
h4ta.030588@gmail.com tutorial please!!!
Hello, can you help me please ? ( ua-cam.com/video/RE-vwtvrBjY/v-deo.html ) I have tried exercise ball penetrating steel plate and i have problem. When the ball come trough the steel plate, ball and plate stay ''glued'' togeher. Sorry for my english. I am looking forward to your reply.
Hi Bez, the training model has an error in the setup on purpose to show how contact definitions are important for correct behaviour - we discuss this during the training course - please get in touch via support@mscsoftware.com. Thanks
Good, thank you.
Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to know how you simulate this process. Appreciate if you 9or someone else) could send the PROC-file or other info to my e-mail amtex.uitm@gmail.com. Thank you. AMTEx.
Oh Boy!
can you send me simulatetion process lathe ? gmail : vuduyanh0401@gmail.com
we need the full video to learn the steps thanks
Please get in touch with your local MSC office regarding this video here: www.mscsoftware.com/page/contact-msc-software referencing your university/company details. Thanks
it is hard in dytran? or relativy easy?
pretty simple to set up since the Euler mesh is separately defined as a box mesh, while the structure is typical FEA mesh. The user then just defines the outside surface of the structure that will interact with the fluid domain and the solver takes care of element interactions: please see from 25:00 onward for a brief example of the Dytran FSI setup (also used in MSC Nastran SOL700) ua-cam.com/video/pC3CYkPyyok/v-deo.html
Dear sir, your modeling is very beautiful, can you share me the method how to do this, your self contact is perfect.if you can share with me?my address is :317912034@qq.com
+Min Lei please see our website mscsoftware.com for more details and your local office contacts, thanks
that's a nice simulation!
can you share the file, please?
Hello, is it possible to show me how to design or insert the helicopter into Adams view?
Hi MSC Software Nice simulation! I'm working on collision of a particle into a droplet. A water droplet is falling by gravity and a solid particle is shot toward that to hit the drop. Collision outcome is a conic liquid filmwhich forms like a liquid skirt for particle (lamella) as shown here I need to simulate this phenomenon and compare the results with what I get from experiments. However, I need first to choose the most suitable simulation software capable of considering the followings: - Particle motion both in air and inside droplet - Particle-droplet interface during penetration of particle into droplet It should be noted that I want to simulate only from collision until completion of lamella formation (not lamella shrinkage disintegration of droplets), nor therefore during simulation, all liquid parts are attached together which would be simpler to solve. Please let me know that based on your experience, which software is able to perform a more accurate simulation on this. Your response is greatly appreciated. Regards, Sayed
Where can I find those ATV templates? Thanks
Ilias Tsipas Adams ATV is a separate Toolkit that is sold by MSC - I would advise to contact MSC service dept: mscsoftware.com/contact-msc-software
what did you specific for heat transfer coeffiecient?
paul singh you define the conduction coefficient as per usual and friction for contact with a heat generation coefficient
Hi is there any tutorial for creating this simulation? Thank you
Hi, we have training material for this as it is mainly done on a detail scale by tyre manufacturers to solve the deformable rubber as well as the fluid detail
@@MSCSoftwareUK How to connect? i want it
Hi Khashayar. If you use Dytran, then in the Patran Dytran Preference you can import different dummy models by going to the Analysis Tab->Import Dummy. For MSC Nastran Explicit, you would need to contact your MSC supplier and they would be able to supply you with any LS-Dyna dummy models that have been converted to MSC Nastran format.
Are there any dummy models in Patran or should we create the dummy models?
Hi Maseeh, please contact your local MSC supplier for more details. There are existing workshops for SPH modelling available. You can also take a look at our support site and log into SimCompanion through mscsoftware com. We also offer specific Birdstrike training in Dytran using the eulerian approach (the models used in the training are shown in responding video )
please can you make tutorial on how to do this type of simulation (in detail)
From our colleagues/reseller Esteq in South Africa :)
hi shaman4iq- the snow material model is an extension of the drucker-prager yield surface with an additional cap to closer follow such materials such as snow as it is being compacted into ice (the two stages). The snow therefore itself is modelled here in the eulerian fluid domain, so this can be seen as a fluid-structure interaction problem that tyre-manufacturers face. This snow material model was in fact developed with the help of a tyre manufacturer for their use with Dytran
What type of snow are used in this modelling? Could you say how do you simulated the snow?
